Admissions for 2017-2018

 

Open Enrollment Dates Tuesday, January 17, 2017 – Monday, May 15, 2017

 

Eligibility

  • Children ages 3-7 as of 9/30/17
  • Cleveland school district residents and Residents of contiguous (neighboring) school districts.

Application Process:

  1. Attend an Information Session or Open House.
    • See the calendar under the “Parent Info” tab for dates and times.
  2. Complete the Application for Admissions form.
    • Click here to access the form for students age 3, 4, and 5 (Please be certain the form is filled out completely, signed by the legal guardian, and, and submitted with any additional required documents.)
      1. Applications for 3- and 4- year olds MUST include – EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION ELIGIBILITY SCREENING TOOL (JFS 01121) Click Here
    • Click here to access the form for students age 6 and 7 (1st and 2nd graders) (Please be certain the form is filled out completely, signed by the legal guardian, and, and submitted with any additional required documents.)
  3. Submit the application and required documents to the school office by May 15, 2017. APPLICATIONS MAY BE DROPPED OFF M-F 8:00 a.m- 4:30 p.m. Applications will be accepted only when ALL documents are presented and an info session OR open house has been attended.
    • Child’s birth certificate (original or certified copy must be brought in to be copied)
    • Parent/guardian I.D. (original or certified copy of legal guardian must be brought in to be copied)
    • Proof of Residency of custodial parent
      1. If parent/guardian is not listed on birth certificate, please provide court documentation of custody/guardianship.
      2. Utility bill, water bill, real estate tax bill, bank statement, documentation or letter on letterhead from a federal, state or local government agency, official payroll documentation from an employer
    • PLEASE NOTE – Proof of residence will need to be provided AGAIN during enrollment if your child receives a spot.

After Open Enrollment Closes (Monday, May 15, 2017)

  1. If, at the end of open enrollment, spaces remain available, all completed applications that were received will be accepted and all remaining seats will be filled on a first come first served basis. If, at the end of open enrollment, applications exceed spaces available, a lottery will be held. Any students who were not selected in the lottery would be placed on a waiting list.

Stonebrook Montessori school is a community school established under Chapter 3314. of the Revised Code. The school is a public school and students enrolled in and attending the school are required to take proficiency tests and other examinations prescribed by law. In addition, there may be other requirements for students at the school that are prescribed by law. Students who have been excused from the compulsory attendance law for the purpose of home education as defined by the Administrative Code shall no longer be excused for that purpose upon their enrollment in a community school.
